Manawatu Scottish – 10th at the 2009 World Championships

The Manawatu Scottish Pipe Band has finished in 10th place at the 2009 World Pipe Band Championships held in Glasgow, Scotland.
After being placed 2nd in the qualifier in the morning the band went comfortably through to the final of the Grade 1 competition.
In the afternoon the band put on two solid performances to come a creditable 11th in the MSR and 9th in the Medley giving the band 10th place overall. Congratulations guys and a fantastic day!

5th The House of Edgar Shotts and Dykehead
6th Boghall and Bathgate Caledonia

Well done also to the City of Timaru Pipe Band, NZ who came 6th in the grade 4A competition.
